§Periodic home inspection by electrician
It’s important not to overload individual wall outlets or extension cords with too many appliances.
If any wiring problem appears in a cord, an appliance or a circuit, a licensed electrician should be called on to rewire or replace the faulty appliance or household wiring. Such a repair visit would be a good time for an inspection of all household electrical switches, outlets, plugs and cords, especially in older adult households.
