§One of every 3 people will have a negative experience with fire during their lifetime

§Almost all fires start out small
Fires and burns are very often
preventable, but they still cause thousands of injuries every year, all too
often with fatal results.
People, especially young people, often
cannot imagine being affected by fire. They are the age group least likely to
have an escape plan in case of a fire where they live. If they can imagine
it, they believe they can handle it, but almost every huge blaze started out
as a small fire.
(Bridge)I’d like to show you the outcome of a
fatal fire at a college.
