When you are checking out college
living arrangements, question whether or not the facility has the electric
wiring needed to handle all computer equipment and other electronics which
today’s students typically possess.

Most colleges have strict rules about what students may
or may not keep in their rooms. Pay attention to these rules. They are there
for your own safety, as well as that
of all the other students in the building. Rules against cooking and halogen
lamps in dormitory rooms, for example, have been enacted in response to their
frequent role in starting campus fires.
