The hydrotherapy room in the Burn
Center is the first place burn patients go when they leave the Emergency
Department. Here, the patient’s wounds are cleaned and the physicians do a
full assessment to determine the severity of the burn.
Patients become quite familiar with
this room. They are brought here every day for a bath and an assessment of
their burn wound. The process is very painful.
