Leaving Home Safety
Dave and Bill
Physical and occupational therapy is extremely important to burn patients. It helps prevent the development of scar tissue that otherwise would become very thick and tight, seriously limiting a patient’s range of motion.
Rehabilitation begins as soon as the patient is admitted. It can  continue for years after discharge. This process requires a great deal of work and commitment on the part of the patient, but it is vital in order for them to regain as much function as possible.
