§
§Before sleeping, check again to make sure any open campfire has been completely extinguished
Tragedies have
occurred when an open flame has suddenly ignited a tent, trapping its
occupants. Never use candles, lanterns or other open flames in tents. This
includes citronella (anti-mosquito) and jar candles as well.Safety from fire far outranks a few bug
bites.
Before sleeping,
check again to make sure any open campfire has been completely extinguished.
(Bridge)Carbon monoxide can also be a
threat during the outdoor camping season. What proportion of all carbon monoxide deaths do you think occur away
from home?
