The Department of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a full-time academic surgeon at the Associate or Full Professor level to serve as the Burn Unit Medical Director. We seek an exceptional candidate with a demonstrated record of excellence in patient care and significant expertise in burn surgery, along with additional training or experience in surgical critical care and/or plastic and reconstructive surgery.

- Base salary range for this position: $190,600 - $405,900.

- Requirements
- Candidates must be board-certified by the American Board of Surgery or the American Board of Plastic Surgery and must be Fellows in good standing of the American College of Surgeons. Applicants should also have documented experience working in an American Burn Association (ABA)-verified burn center and/or demonstrate leadership experience within a burn care system. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, and a record of scholarly activity in burn surgery is preferred. This position is primarily based at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and reports jointly to the Chief Medical Officer of St. Francis and the Chair of the Department of Surgery at UCSF.
