Serve on a Committee

(Members Only)

Shape the future of burn care alongside peers. ABA committees transform ideas into action, foster collaboration, and offer meaningful opportunities to lead, contribute, and make an impact. Each committee supports ABA’s mission to improve the lives of those affected by burn injury.

How It Works:

  • Open to all ABA members

  • Call for Committee Service opens each fall

  • Members are selected based on expertise, interest, and committee needs

  • Terms begin each spring during the ABA Annual Meeting

New: Contribute Your Expertise

There are many ways to engage with ABA’s mission throughout the year—whether you’re a longtime member, prospective member, or part of the broader burn care community. Your voice, knowledge, and advocacy can help shape the future of burn care and support those affected by burn injury. Some opportunities are open year-round; others require applying through the annual Call for Volunteers.

You can join focus groups, support public policy efforts, share expertise in educational programs and Special Interest Groups, mentor colleagues, or contribute through committee work guiding ABA initiatives. Even amplifying ABA content on social media makes an impact.
