About South Carolina Burn Center at MUSC: Established in 2020, The South Carolina Burn Center at MUSC Health is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified burn surgeons, critical care specialists, nurses, rehabilitation therapists and support staff. The team is prepared to respond 24/7 to burn emergencies and mass casualty events and offers long-term recovery services, including reconstructive surgery, psychosocial support and return-to-work planning. The South Carolina Burn Center achieved ABA verification for both adult and pediatric burn care in 2025.

Responsibilities: The Physical Therapist II reports to the Physical Therapy Manager. The Physical Therapist II develops and provides optimal patient care by planning and implementing a physical therapy program to individuals based upon age-specific and population specific needs utilizing a developmental and patient/family directed approach. Patient populations served: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric within the South Carolina Burn Center. Infrequent coverage for a variety of other diagnoses may include but not limited to: neurologic, orthopedic, post surgical, pediatric, medically complex, inpatient or outpatient throughout the hospital system.

Requirements: At least one year of experience practicing as a Physical Therapist within a burn center is preferred.
