The ABA-Verified Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), for the adult inpatient burn service. This is a dedicated 15 bed, acuity adaptable burn unit with adjacent outpatient clinic, therapy and rehab space, and dedicated operating rooms and procedure rooms. We are looking for the ideal candidate who is a highly collaborative provider to work with our multi-disciplinary team which includes dedicated burn attendings, fellows, nurses, therapists, case manager, social worker, pharmacists, dieticians, and more. APP’s also work alongside rotating general surgery and plastic surgery residents throughout the year. The provider team cares for all levels of inpatients, including active burn resuscitations and postoperative patients, off-service consults for minor burns, dermatologic conditions, and road rash, emergency department consults, and triaging transfer center calls. He or she will work in partnership with the outpatient team to transition patients from their inpatient stays. The APP’s provide bedside procedures with central lines, arterial lines, assisting with escharotomies, and minor wound debridement. We encourage and support participation with morbidity and mortality conference, PI/QI processes and projects, journal clubs, and research efforts along with required continuing education and maintenance of certification. Potential support for conference attendance and courses are available.

Requirements
Candidates must have passed their respective Certifying Examinations, or be on track to prior to hire date, and be up to date on maintenance of certification. They must be licensed or obtain licensure in the state of Indiana for Advanced Practice Provider.
