The American Burn Association's Reintegration Special Interest Group (SIG) invites you to learn about how a long-standing and successful Aftercare Program operates (NC Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, NC). The meeting will also address school re-entry, pediatric and adult reintegration events/activities, burn community partnerships and engagement. This virtual meeting features presentations from Heather Dodd, Chelsea Hendricks, and Michele Barr and will include an interactive discussion. Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge or connect with peers in the field, this session provides a collaborative space for learning and professional development.

  • Share information about a very robust burn survivor aftercare program for both pediatrics and adults.

  • Discuss resources and foundations to partner with in the burn community to develop aftercare programs. 

  • Networking opportunity for establishment and development of aftercare programs.

 

Who should attend: Burn survivors and any interested burn professionals, fire service and rescue professionals, community partners and foundations
