Exploring the Psychosocial Dimensions of Burn Care

Join the ABA Burn Psychosocial Special Interest Group (SIG) for an open discussion on the critical role of psychosocial care in burn recovery. This session will highlight the emotional, social, and psychological aspects that influence outcomes for burn survivors and their families. Panelists will share perspectives and best practices for integrating mental health support throughout the continuum of burn care, from acute treatment to long-term recovery.

Attendees will gain insight into:

  • The importance of addressing psychosocial needs in comprehensive burn care

  • Practical strategies to support patients, families, and care teams

  • Interdisciplinary collaboration to improve emotional and functional recovery

  • Resources and programs that enhance the quality of life after burn injury
