Who attends the ABA Annual Meeting?

The ABA Annual Meeting brings together more than 2,250 attendees representing the multidisciplinary burn care community.

Participants include healthcare professionals, researchers, administrators, industry representatives, and others who contribute to patient care and the broader burn care system.

The 2027 meeting will feature more than 80 sessions, 415 posters, and 16 hours of exhibition programming, providing multiple opportunities for attendees to learn, connect, and exchange information.

Attendees represent a range of professional backgrounds, including:

  • APRNs and nurses

  • Physicians, surgeons, residents, pharmacists and researchers

  • Occupational and physical therapists and other therapists

  • Social workers, psychologists and administrators

  • EMTs and firefighters

  • Industry and corporate representatives

  • Fellows and burn survivors

  • Other professionals involved in burn care

This interprofessional participation reflects the collaborative nature of burn care, where patient outcomes often depend on coordination across specialties and stages of recovery.

What can exhibitors expect?

The Annual Meeting exhibit hall provides a setting for organizations to introduce products and services, share information, and connect with members of the burn care community.

Flexible exhibit options: Not every organization needs a large island exhibit to make an impact. Flexible booth configurations offer organizations options to create an effective presence while keeping setup and costs manageable.

Exhibit packages include:

  • One full-conference registration per 100 square feet of booth space

  • Exhibit hall passes based on booth size

  • Organization listing on the exhibit hall floor plan

  • Organization listing in the event mobile app

  • Pre- and post-conference attendee lists, subject to applicable requirements

  • Standard booth furnishings, including back and side draping and a booth identification sign

Additional furnishings, electrical services, carpeting, and other booth needs are available through the official exposition provider.

The exhibit hall will also be open during scheduled receptions and meal periods, creating opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to connect outside of educational sessions.

What sponsorship opportunities are available?

Sponsorships provide additional ways for organizations to participate in the Annual Meeting beyond exhibiting.

The 2027 prospectus includes opportunities connected to meeting experiences, attendee engagement, exhibit hall activities, and Annual Meeting visibility.

Examples include:

  • Ribbon Tower sponsorship, an exclusive opportunity associated with a highly visible attendee activation

  • Exhibit Hall Column Branding at the main entrance to the exhibit hall with custom-branded signage mounted on columns in a high-traffic area.

  • Innovation Theater presentations featuring products, services, or emerging innovations

  • Break and refreshment sponsorships, including coffee, snacks, meals and receptions

  • Annual Meeting signature event sponsorships

  • Exhibit Hall Tours, which direct attendees to participating sponsor booths

  • Passport to Prizes, an exhibit hall activity designed to encourage booth visits

Organizations can also review broader sponsorship packages that offer engagement opportunities throughout the Annual Meeting.

Why does the Annual Meeting bring together such a broad audience?

Burn care extends well beyond the initial treatment of a burn injury. Care can involve emergency response, acute clinical care, rehabilitation, psychosocial support, research, prevention, and long-term recovery.

The ABA Annual Meeting reflects that continuum by bringing together professionals from multiple disciplines and organizations working in different areas of burn care.

For organizations serving this community, the meeting provides a setting to learn more about current needs, exchange information with healthcare professionals, and demonstrate how products or services fit within the broader burn care landscape.
