A Special Thank You to ABA’s Burn Prevention Committee
This year’s success would not have been possible without the incredible work of the ABA Burn Prevention Committee. Their commitment to refreshing and expanding NBAW resources, creating engaging content, and fostering community participation helped make this the most impactful NBAW yet.
The committee developed various free tools and resources to support the burn care community’s awareness efforts, including fact sheets, pre-made graphics (also available in Spanish), press release templates, a proclamation, and more. The committee also created a series of short videos with essential safety tips to help prevent burn injuries at home and in the community.
Looking Ahead: The New and Revised Poster Contest
As ABA wrapped up NBAW, the Burn Prevention Committee plans to announce more details in the spring about the new and improved National Burn Awareness Week Poster Contest. This revamped initiative will provide even more opportunities for children and burn camps to participate, reinforcing the importance of burn prevention through creative expression. Stay tuned for the official announcement and submission guidelines.
