“Burn wound infection remains one of the most complex challenges in acute burn care,” said ABA’s CEO, Ed Dellert, RN, MBA, CAE, FACEHP. “This grant reflects a shared commitment to advancing research that can directly inform prevention and treatment strategies, while supporting the next generation of investigators in the field.”

“Through the Marty Robson Burn Wound Infection Research Grant, the Wound Healing Foundation remains focused on accelerating innovative science in wound healing,” said Wound Healing Foundation's Vice Chair, Laura K. S. Parnell. “Partnering with Urgo Medical North America and the American Burn Association strengthens the reach and impact of this work and helps ensure promising research ideas are given the opportunity to develop into meaningful clinical advances.”

The $15,000 grant supports one-year research projects focused on topical treatment or prevention of burn wound infection.
