Sarah Bingel-McKillips Named Senior Director of Education & Learning Strategies at the American Burn Association

The American Burn Association (ABA) today announced the appointment of Sarah Bingel-McKillips as its new Senior Director of Education & Learning Strategies, effective December 8, 2025. Bingel-McKillips brings extensive experience in health professional education, curriculum design, and learning innovation, positioning her to advance the ABA’s educational modernization priorities and broaden the impact of its programs.
Bingel-McKillips comes to ABA from The France Foundation, where she managed national CME programs for leading medical associations. Her career also spans key leadership roles in undergraduate and graduate medical education at UCSF, Cooper University Hospital, and the Einstein Health Network, where she led curriculum development, accreditation processes, and assessment strategies. Earlier roles directing nonprofit and academic events shaped her strong commitment to communication, coordination, and team-centered leadership in health professions education.

Dellert noted that Bingel-McKillips was selected after a competitive national search that drew more than 30 applicants. Her leadership, creativity, and dedication to continuous learning emerged as standout strengths and strong matches for the ABA’s strategic direction. She will play an integral role in expanding the reach, quality, and impact of the association’s educational offerings.
